Connect Codex to Guilduo: MCP and Workflow Skill

Set up the Codex connection

Reusing a desktop App and registering direct MCP are alternatives. You do not need both for the same purpose.

1. Check the endpoint and account of your existing Guilduo App. Otherwise register Remote HTTP MCP using the connection guide.
2. Use https://mcp.guilduo.com/mcp with OAuth. For direct MCP in a CLI or another host, complete OAuth there.
3. Register an Agent in Party and link this connection in Connections.

Start with a read-only check

Reading the same Quests as the Web App with linked: true verifies account and Agent read access. Test writing separately after choosing the exact target and change.

Use Guilduo get_current_agent_context and list_quests with reads only.
Report the link state, effectiveExecutionScopes and result count.
Do not create, update, complete or reassign work, or run another model.
Do not output tokens, Client IDs or UIDs.

Add the Workflow Skill to an existing App

This optional local procedure requires the Guilduo source repository and Codex with plugin command support. Replace YOUR_REGISTERED_GUILDUO_APP_ID with your registered Guilduo App ID, not an OAuth token.

Run from the repository root. Keep the generated .qa-artifacts/guilduo-plugin directory while the local marketplace is registered.

1. Restart Codex and enable Guilduo Workflows in a new chat.
2. Verify that the loaded Skill list includes guilduo-workflows:questforge-workflows.
3. A Human Relay requires both request_human_review and list_human_requests.

Take a Quest and return it for review

1. Read Improve one help message with get_quest and check its criteria and assignee.
2. Within delegated scope, preview assign_quest_to_agent and save using the actual Agent ID and current expectedUpdatedAt.
3. Move the Handoff to working when starting, then edit and verify in the Codex work environment.
4. Return the result and remaining checks as review_required. Use Human Relay for device testing or subjective judgment.

Separate connection, Skill and execution issues

• MCP works but the Skill is missing: MCP alone does not load a Skill. Check the plugin and loading in a new chat.
• Human tools are missing: refresh existing App metadata. Do not substitute ordinary Quest updates for a human answer.
• Plugin discovery verifies local loading; it is not public-directory publication or OpenAI approval.
• A saved assignment does not prove execution started. Check the working transition and actual result separately.
